Step One: Start Blog. Step Two: Feed Baby.

This is the very beginning of my foray into feeding my baby more than just breast milk and formula. I couldn't be more excited. I love food, I love cooking, and I love my daughter - what more does one need?

A blog, I guess.

And so we begin!

Last night, I fed Matilda her first meal: Gerber Whole Wheat Cereal.
A pretty simple recipe:

Gerber Whole Wheat Cereal
Ingredients:
1 tbsp cereal
4-5 tbsp breast milk or formula

Equipment:
1 baby bowl
1 tablespoon measure
3 baby spoons
1 baby bib
1 high chair

1) Measure and mix the ingredients in the baby bowl.
2) Put the bib on the baby, and put the baby in her high chair.
3) Give one spoon to the baby, keep one spoon to the side in case a spoon drops, and save one spoon for yourself.
4) Spoon feed the baby, while sword-fighting with your baby's spoon, and simultaneously scooping up the cereal that somehow drips out of her mouth all over the place.
5) Repeat step 4 until the cereal is gone.

...Now we just repeat this for about three to five days, to make sure Matilda isn't allergic. Until next time!
